Thomas A. Byrne, CPA, EDFP

Thomas Byrne, owner of Byrne & Company Limited, is one of renewable energy’s most experienced project consultants. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from St. Cloud State University. His experience dates back to 1979 when he began his career as an accountant, later becoming a leading project development consultant to the biofuels industry.

Since forming Byrne & Company Limited, Mr. Byrne has worked on many successful projects for his clients, offering a broad array of business consultation services.  He also has spoken at conferences across the United States as well as in Costa Rica, Poland, China and Panama on the securing of financing within the biofuels industry and the future of the biofuels industry.

Mr. Byrne has recently developed a passion for the developing algae to energy industry. In November 2007, Byrne & Company, Limited co-hosted the inaugural Algae Biomass Summit in San Francisco, California and the second Summit in Seattle in 2008. Stemming from the 2007 Summit was the formation of the Algal Biomass Organization in 2008.  Mr. Byrne was elected to the ABO’s Board of Directors and is currently serving as the Secretary of the Board.

Barb Scheevel is the Administrative Assistant at Byrne & Company,

Limited. With over twenty years of office experience, her responsibilities

are to assist with the various organizational and administrative

tasks associated with the day to day operations of the business.
