More than half of all mergers or acquisitions (M & A) deals destroy value rather than create it. With proper due diligence it does not have to be that way. Thomas Byrne attended a seminar sponsored by the AICPA and the Executive Enterprise Institute I Chicago November 27 and 28th. The seminar called “Complete Due Diligence” detailed the steps to take to make sure that any flaws in due diligence do not come back to haunt the deal. Byrne & Company has a history of quality due diligence work and felt this seminar reinforced many of the steps taken by the firm. It also brought to light additional situations that are occurring in the "M & A" arena.
